Interview with Jo Rioux about the re-release of her graphic Novel, Cat’s Cradle

For 10 years, Canadian author/illustrator Jo Rioux has been waiting to share one thing with fans and now she can – there will be a Book 2 of her graphic novel Cat’s Cradle: The Golden Twine.

Cat’s Cradle has been picked up by First Second Books. It’s set to be a trilogy with the possibility of more books.

The novel released by First Second Books has all new art and some additional scenes cut out of the original.

“A decade has gone by since I first created it and I’ve grown a lot as an artist since then—both in style and skill. This version of Cat’s Cradle is much closer to the vision I had in my head. Especially the colours— I’ve gotten a lot bolder with colours!”
