Today marks a monumental milestone for me as a founder and entrepreneur 🚀

After an incredible ride as VP of Sales at NutKase Accessories , a venture I started out of my bedroom when I was 17 years old, it’s time for a new chapter. NutKase grew from a fledgling high school startup to a key player in the educational technology space, now partnering with over 1,000 K-12 schools across 60 countries.

It's been a fulfilling journey, and I'm leaving NutKase in the capable hands of Leo Shortland & Ross H. Page and I am confident it will keep excelling in delivering the most rugged and protective cases for Chromebooks, iPads, and laptops.

I’m stepping up as co-founder and CEO of CyberNut (www.cybernut.com) and couldn't be more excited to be partnering with with my CTO and co-founder Adil Altaf . Over the past several months our teams have been working in stealth mode, quietly building a solution that addresses a critical gap in the K-12 market—affordable and effective cybersecurity training for schools.

Today CyberNut is being launched out of stealth mode, and is ready open it's doors to K-12 schools in the US and around the world who need better and more affordable security awareness training for their teachers, faculty, staff, and students.

Today we are also excited to announced that CyberNut has closed a significant round of venture capital from some of the most insightful VC's and angel investors in the EdTech & cybersecurity industry. Including investments from the Transcend Network and Charter School Growth Fund . CyberNut is also proud to have been accelerated earlier this year by the Tampa Bay Wave CyberTech X Accelerator!

CyberNut is not just another SaaS product.         

It’s a mission-driven platform designed to empower schools to train their faculty, staff, & students on how to fend off cyber threats through comprehensive and engaging training.

In an era where cyberattacks are increasingly menacing educational institutions—costing them billions—our tool uses gamification to turn cybersecurity training from a dreaded task into an engaging experience. This approach not only makes learning about cybersecurity fun but ensures that the crucial practices stick.

The need for such a solution has never been more critical. With cyberattacks in 2022 costing educational institutions approximately $9.45 billion in downtime, and high-profile incidents like those at Buffalo Public Schools and Baltimore County Public Schools, which faced recovery costs of roughly $10 million and $8.1 million respectively, the financial and operational devastation is clear.

A staggering 91% of hacks & data breaches in schools originated through phishing attacks, with an average failure rate of 56% in phishing tests amongst untrained teachers, staff, faculty, and students.
