Introducing Richard

What is the main purpose of your role and responsibilities?

To make as much money as possible for the company by obtaining permanent recruitment assignments and locating suitable candidates for them.

Typically, what are the roles you recruit for and what industries do you serve?

I specialise in recruiting for precision engineering roles, which involves creating metal components. These positions cover a wide spectrum, from entry-level roles on the shop floor all the way up to director level positions. Some of the key roles I fill include CNC machinists, inspectors, quality engineers, and production managers. In addition to precision engineering, I also have opportunities in the aviation industry for individuals with experience in aircraft maintenance. Are your services available nationally or just locally? If locally, what is the radius?

Generally, my clients are located in the home counties, with a focus on Essex. However, I have successfully placed a machinist in Canada before. Location is not a limiting factor for me. Whether you're in the heart of Essex or across the globe, I am dedicated to finding the perfect match for your needs. My services are available nationally and internationally, with a track record of successful placements no matter the location.

Please share with us a brief overview of your professional background and qualifications prior to joining HRGO Recruitment.

I have experience in electronics, production engineering, service engineering, and recruitment for engineers. With a diverse skill set and years of experience in the recruitment industry, I bring a wealth of knowledge to the table.

What would you say is the main passion that drives you within this role?

I believe in doing things the right way, putting in the effort to ensure that every task is completed with excellence. It's not just about getting the job done, but about doing it with a sense of pride, integrity, and dedication. That's what truly fuels my passion in this role.

Introducing Helen

What is the main purpose of your role and responsibilities?

I oversee permanent recruitment in Somerset, Dorset, and Wiltshire, connecting businesses with the perfect candidates, ultimately driving profits for the company!

Typically, what are the roles you recruit for and what industries do you serve? Is it nationally or locally, and if locally, what is the radius?

I manage a wide range of what are known as general high street recruitment roles. These include administrators, PAs, Sales, warehouse workers, Managers, Lab technicians, Welders, health and safety professionals, Finance/accountants, Engineers, and stock controllers. The variety is endless! While my main focus is on Somerset, I also cover the wider southwest region and occasionally take on national roles based on my clients' needs.

Tell us a little about your background and qualifications before HRGO Recruitment

Prior to joining HRGO Recruitment, I earned a degree in psychology and business. I began my career in recruitment back in 1999, eventually owning my own company for 15 years until selling a majority stake to HRGO in 2019 and the remainder in January 2021. Throughout my career, I have been honoured with multiple awards for both my business and recruitment achievements, including the prestigious MREC award for long-standing excellence with the REC. Additionally, I have served on various boards in roles such as director, Non- Executive Director, and Chair.

What would you say is the main passion that drives you within this role

I find great joy in helping others. While it may sound cliché, changing lives is truly fulfilling. And let's be honest, the commission is a nice bonus! It may be tough work, but the rewards make it all worthwhile. There's nothing quite like the feeling of making a difference in someone's life and seeing the impact of your efforts first-hand. It's a reminder that we all have the power to create positive change in the world, no matter how big or small.
