Irresistible 2024: Create Your HR Organization’s Future

The Irresistible 2024 conference—the marquee event of the year for HR leaders and their teams—is slated to be three days of engaging and interactive experiences. Held on the beautiful University of Southern California campus in Los Angeles May 20- 23, past attendee feedback tells us the unique venue, extraordinary entertainment, and unparalleled networking are second only to the world-class speakers, with their deep HR expertise and skill in distilling big ideas into actionable solutions, bringing the agenda to life.

Through each of the thoughtfully planned 20+ breakout sessions and mainstage events, The Josh Bersin Company’s cutting-edge research is brought to life. Irresistible’s agenda is broken out into tracks to align with recent research on Dynamic Organizations, Irresistible Leadership, and Systemic HR. Attendees will find that every session is built to guide HR organizations’ growth and illuminate the steps required to prosper. To meet the needs of CHROs and talent executives, Irresistible 2024 also features an invite-only CHRO track on Tuesday, May 21, designed to provide an opportunity for executives to learn from each other and hear from their peers in closed-door private sessions.

With just 440 seats, this is a more intimate conference than most, enabling HR Leaders and their teams to learn, connect, share, and benefit from both the speakers and each other during the sessions, workshops, networking breaks, and events. The roster of speakers for the keynotes and breakout sessions comprises foremost CHROs and business leaders from global organizations with innovative approaches and real-life experiences.

Topics Aligned with Groundbreaking Research

The session tracks feature topics explored in Bersin Company’s research, and each speaker was purposefully invited for their ability to influence and inspire audiences while presenting pragmatic ideas. Topics include:

Dynamic Organizations: Only 7% of companies qualify as Dynamic Organizations, which strategically align people and skills to opportunities, improving productivity and business competitiveness at the same time. Most companies are stuck in the industrial model of legacy job structures, rigid hierarchies, and top-down management models, relying on recruiting as the sole source of their growth, but can begin the evolution to a more dynamic approach with guidance from Bersin Company research and Irresistible guests. This track features sessions focused on:

  • The Transformative Power of AI-Based Talent Marketplaces
  • Building a Pixelated Workforce
  • Boosting Productivity and Performance with Work Time Reduction
  • Change Agility in the Era of AI

Systemic HR: Organizations that embrace Systemic HR – a new operating system that views HR as an interconnected unit rather than a set of disconnected parts – are 2x more likely to exceed financial targets and delight customers, and 12x more likely to accomplish high levels of workforce productivity. Irresistible attendees who participate in the Systemic HR sessions will explore:

  • Operationalizing Talent Intelligence
  • The New Role of the HR Business Partner
  • Building Full-Stack HR Capabilities
  • Understanding and Applying the Four R Framework

Irresistible Leadership: Millions of books have been written on different approaches to leading people and managing teams, but there’s only one Definitive Guide to Leadership Development. Bersin Company research from late 2023 uncovered the importance of purposeful leadership development practices to broader company performance. Drawing insights from the extensive Bersin Company research library and lessons learned from the 12% of companies operating at the highest level of leadership development maturity, this track dives deep into:

  • Data-driven Decision Making
  • Fostering Performance & Innovation Through Employee Activation
  • Leadership Behaviors that Matter Most
  • Designing Culture in Hybrid & Remote Workplaces

The invite-only CHRO track with exclusive content and advanced workshops is led by Bill Pelster, human capital expert, trust global advisor, and Co-founder of The Josh Bersin Company. Focused specifically on the concerns and demands of C-suite executives, these sessions include:

  • Exploring the Post-Industrial Landscape
  • CHRO Luncheon - Cultivating a Dynamic Organization
  • Rewiring HR and Leadership

In addition to the educational sessions, we’ve planned a lineup of special events to wow you in a way that only the world’s home to movies, television, and storytelling can offer, thanks to our extraordinary co-hosts at USC Marshall School of Executive Education. Attendees can look forward to immersive events, surprise entertainment, and an all-new LA Coliseum experience that has never been done before.

Throughout the three-day conference; attendees will enjoy the beautiful University of Southern California campus, approximately 10 miles from Los Angeles International Airport and about five miles from Union Station. Incidentally, while Irresistible is a business event, there will be a fair amount of walking across USC's campus. We recommend that attendees come prepared with comfortable shoes. Break out those trendy new dress sneakers!

Register today for final Early Bird rates (i.e. before April 1). The conference sells out and generates a waitlist for hopefuls every year. Early registration (especially for teams hoping to attend together) is highly encouraged.
