♾ Battling Burnout in Web3 🚒
Burnout Is Killing Founders — Here’s How to Fight Back.
Let’s get one thing straight: founders aren’t superheroes. You might try to be — juggling 12 roles, firing off emails at midnight, and pretending sleep is optional. But here’s the truth no one likes to admit: burnout is lurking, and if you don’t take it seriously, it’ll gut you and your business in one go.
Burnout doesn’t announce itself with fireworks. It creeps in. First, you start skipping workouts to “get ahead.” Then, you convince yourself a couple of sleepless nights won’t kill you. Before you know it, you’re snapping at your co-founder, staring blankly at your screen, and wondering why the thing you loved feels like a prison. Sound familiar?
Founders are prime targets for burnout because we think we can do it all. The myth of the tireless entrepreneur — running on caffeine and grit — is seductive. You want to believe it’s possible. But the data doesn’t lie. Nearly three-quarters of entrepreneurs report mental health challenges like depression, anxiety, and insomnia. These aren’t badges of honor. They’re warning signs that you’re driving 100 mph toward a cliff.
My Burnout Wake-Up Call ☎️
When burnout first hit me, I didn’t see it coming. I thought I was just “tired” — a little overworked. I told myself I’d rest after I hit that next milestone. But the milestones kept moving, and my body started throwing red flags. Sleepless nights. Irritability. That eerie emotional numbness that makes even a small win feel meaningless.
I ignored it. Like most founders, I convinced myself that pushing through was the answer. But the cracks started to show. I lost focus, made bad decisions, and, worst of all, I became the leader I swore I’d never be — impatient, uninspired, disconnected.
The wake-up call wasn’t pretty. A mentor — someone who’d been in the trenches longer than me — sat me down and said, “If you’re dead, your goals dies too.”
It was harsh, but it clicked. My ambition was driving my productivity into the ground because I wasn't putting myself first. It was the classic case of diminishing returns.
You Don’t Have to Do It Alone 🫂
Here’s the thing about founders: we love control. It’s why we started this whole mess in the first place. But control is a double-edged sword. You can’t do it all, and you shouldn’t have to.
That’s where Founders Hub Network came in for me. This isn’t just a networking platform; it’s a lifeline. Founders Hub is where I found my people — other entrepreneurs who understood the grind but were also ready to talk about the hard stuff, like mental health and boundaries. It’s where I learned how to delegate, prioritize, and, honestly, breathe again.
Founders Hub isn’t about piling more tasks on your plate. It’s about lightening the load. Need advice on handling stress? They’ve got experts for that. Feeling isolated? There’s a whole community waiting to remind you you’re not alone. Struggling to streamline operations? They’ve got tools and resources to make your life easier.
The best part? It’s not a guilt trip. It’s not, “Why aren’t you doing better?” It’s, “How can we help you thrive?”
Burn Bright, Not Out ✨
Burnout isn’t a personal failing. It’s the result of a system that glorifies exhaustion and treats self-care like a luxury. But here’s the truth: your business needs you alive, engaged, and — dare I say it — happy.
So, if you’re feeling the weight, don’t wait for it to crush you. Step back. Take a break. Lean into support systems like Founders Hub Network that are built to help you lead without losing yourself.
You started this journey to build something extraordinary. Don’t let burnout steal that from you. Take care of yourself like your business depends on it — because it does. And if you don’t know where to start? Start here: Founders Hub Network.
♾ Bangkok, DePINs, and the Web3 Energy Shift 🇹🇭
What if your smartphone could power a global network, your home Wi-Fi could strengthen internet connectivity worldwide, or your gaming console could revolutionize cloud computing? This vision was explored earlier this month at Bangkok’s ABC Conclave and Devcon SEA.
For one week, Bangkok became the heartbeat of Web3 innovation, hosting transformative discussions about Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePINs). As moderator of the DePIN panel at the ABC Conclave, I had the privilege of sharing the stage with industry leaders who are actively shaping this new frontier.
What Are DePINs? 🤨
DePINs represent a fundamental shift in how we build and govern infrastructure. They use decentralized frameworks to manage physical assets like data centers, EV charging stations, and supply chains, creating systems that are more equitable, efficient, and accessible.
“DePINs let regular people own and contribute to networks,” explained Keith Dawson, CEO of Qualoo. “Instead of relying on centralized giants, we’re building systems where everyone can participate and benefit.”
Unlike traditional centralized providers, which hoard resources and charge a premium, DePINs leverage existing, underused assets. Amar Bedi, CEO of Tashi Network, noted, “We’re turning inefficiencies, like unused compute power, into opportunities. It’s about cutting out the middleman and giving power back to the people.”
In essence, DePINs are blockchain meets SimCity—but instead of simply building infrastructure, they make it self-governing, scalable, and tokenized.
The ABC Conclave From Ideas to Action 💡
The ABC Conclave wasn’t just a blockchain conference—it was a launchpad for bold ideas. I had the honor of moderating a panel featuring some of the brightest minds in the field: Keith Dawson of Qualoo, Amar Bedi of Tashi Network, Mark Rydon of Aethir, and Web3 veteran Coach K.
Each speaker brought a unique perspective to the conversation. Keith shared how Qualoo is building a DePIN network to map the internet in real-time, improving connectivity on a global scale. Amar discussed how Tashi Network is revolutionizing on-chain gaming, reducing latency and costs by connecting gamers through decentralized networks. Mark highlighted how Aethir’s decentralized GPU infrastructure is unlocking cloud gaming and AI for underserved markets like Vietnam and India.
Coach K framed it beautifully: “DePINs take what’s already in your pocket—your phone, GPU, or bandwidth—and turn it into something that builds a better network. It’s about creating value from what’s already there.”
We also explored the deeper implications of DePINs, including governance, scalability, and trust. Amar pointed out that centralized providers like AWS operate at just 30-50% capacity. “DePINs eliminate waste, making them inherently more sustainable,” he said.
Why Bangkok? 🛺
Bangkok wasn’t just a backdrop for these conversations—it was a symbol of the decentralized ethos. The city thrives on creativity, resilience, and community, making it the ideal setting to reimagine how we build and share infrastructure.
“Bangkok is more than a location—it’s a metaphor for decentralization,” Amar observed. “It’s a city where innovation and community thrive, just like Web3.”
From its vibrant streets to its forward-thinking tech scene, Bangkok proved why it’s becoming a hub for blockchain and decentralized innovation in Southeast Asia.
What’s Next for DePINs? 🤔
DePINs aren’t just a buzzword—they’re a movement. They promise to empower communities and decentralize infrastructure, but challenges remain. Scaling these networks requires addressing issues of trust, governance, and adoption.
“We’re on the brink of a post-complexity era,” said Mark. “AI is simplifying interfaces, and as these systems become easier to use, DePIN adoption will follow naturally.”
The future isn’t just about technology—it’s about people. DePINs empower individuals to contribute to and benefit from networks that are designed to serve everyone.
Imagine A World 🌎
Imagine a world where internet outages are a thing of the past, cloud gaming works seamlessly in remote villages, and your devices earn money simply by being part of the infrastructure.
“The future isn’t centralized,” Coach K said. “It’s community-driven, accessible, and already happening.”
Reflecting on my time as moderator at the ABC Conclave, I’m grateful to have shared the stage with innovators who are building this future. DePINs aren’t just reshaping infrastructure—they’re reclaiming control over the systems that shape our lives.
The future isn’t just decentralized; it’s already under construction. Be part of it. 🚀
Here’s the reality: Web3 is messy, chaotic, and teetering between brilliance and catastrophe. It’s also the most exciting thing happening in tech today. These 50 takeaways cut through the hype to give you what you need to know—from scams to successes and everything in between.
