Welcome to the newest Edition of my Project Management and AI-related Newsletter!

Hello Community,

Before we dive into the exciting content of this issue, here are a few words on our behalf. In this newsletter, we have so far combined all topics related to project management on the one hand and exciting topics related to AI (from a business perspective) on the other.

This was necessary because, until recently, I could only publish one newsletter. However, LinkedIn has changed this; from now on, you can publish several newsletters!

However, this means that from the next issue (#10) we will separate the topics again, making the newsletters more transparent and allowing you to focus on the essential topics. (although, of course, I hope that you will all subscribe to my newsletters!

🖥️ Microsoft launches new Pro plan for Copilot

Microsoft has launched a new Copilot Pro to give everyday users access to many generative AI features across their product range.

🔑 Key Points:

·  Copilot Pro will be a consumer plan, coming in at $20 per user per month, offering AI features across various Microsoft 365 apps—including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote—but separate to a Microsoft 365 subscription.

·  The service also includes 100 daily "boosts" in Designer for enhanced AI-powered image creation and priority access to the latest AI models, with a Copilot GPT builder already in the pipeline.

·  Furthermore, Copilot will offer enhanced features like enterprise-grade data protection and the Semantic Index for personalized responses (more on how semantic search works here).

Creativity, Critical Thinking, and Soft/Power Skills

AI has not generated soft skills, critical thinking, or creativity.

These are all human skills. ChatGPT is just a transformer, an algorithm that, based on billions and billions of texts and other contents, can predict and "mimic" what a human would do. And this does not turn ChatGPT into a human or anything sentient.

Our ability to disruptively think out of the box and analyze all our decisions' human and social impacts will become imperative for the projects. This includes deciding where, how, and at what level to apply AI in our projects.

As Program or Project Managers - so as Leaders - we should take care of work environment and how it evolves, especially forced by all those upcoming emerging technologies nowadays.
