This issue we are shining a light on Kirstie Atherton
Who is Kirstie?
Kirstie is a celebrant increasing awareness in her sector, which is still a predominantly patriarchal one.
She creates ceremonies to mark all and any of the various milestones in people's lives. Her specialism is crafting bespoke end-of-life rituals so that everyone has the chance to begin their grief journey with a funeral that heals not hurts.
Kirstie was recently the first to be awarded a brand new qualification in advanced practice funeral celebrant. This means she is the world's highest-qualified celebrant.
How has networking with WIBN helped you and your business grow?
Kirstie is a member at WIBN St Helens and credits networking for increasing her confidence and bringing her a tribe of like-minded women who are passionate about their business and who want to lift one another up alongside themselves.
Kirstie's no.1 tip for networking is...

Take the momentum you feel as you leave the meeting and act on it quickly whilst it's at the forefront of your mind (even if you haven't really got the time in that moment - reach out and say you'll be back in touch as soon as you can to move things forward).
Finally, we asked Kirstie... What are you doing now that you wouldn't be doing if you weren't networking?
"Collaborating with so many other women whose skills are complementary to mine.
I'd still shouting into the void trying to get people to be aware of the existence of my profession, rather than having a team on my side who support me in this and who do this with me".
Take-away for this month

It's words like this that make it all worthwhile. Never forget just how wonderful you and your contribution to the world are.
See you next time, and as always I'm only a call or an email away.
