It’s Fall Game Time — Do You Have Your Tickets Yet?

Fall is just around the corner and fall equals SPORTS in a big way! NFL preseason games are done, the NBA and NHL seasons start in October,  MLB and MLS head into postseason play in October, even NASCAR. Plus you cant forget about NCAA games and their fans to college stadiums and arenas! You have an almost endless list of live sporting events that happen when the leaves begin to change and temperatures drop.

So, do you have your fall event tickets sorted out? If you buy season tickets, have you determined how many you plan to use and if you need to resell or donate unneeded tickets? These are just a few questions you probably have bouncing around in your head as we head into this active sports season!

Here are a few pointers for getting ready for game time this fall:

Maximize your live event ticket dollars

The first way to maximize your event ticket investment is to ensure you’re using every ticket — and not just by anybody. By that, we mean be sure you’re allocating tickets to the clients, prospects or employees who are most likely to help grow your business, either by increasing sales, building goodwill or retaining top talent.

Second, make sure you’re either reselling or donating tickets you can’t use. Many season ticket holders find they can’t attend every game, especially for sports like MLB, NBA and NHL, which have a lot of home games. Your best bet is to resell unneeded tickets or donate them to a nonprofit organization (or use them in a giveaway), which can provide some tax benefits and build goodwill in your community.

Choose events your clients want to attend

You and others within your organization might be diehard NFL fans, but your clients or prospects might not be. Before investing in live event tickets, it’s best to learn about your clients’ or prospects’ interests, as we talk about in this LinkedIn Post: Which Clients Should Receive Your Ticket “Love?. After all, the whole point of inviting others to live events is to create memorable, positive experiences that ultimately help grow your business in one way or another.

Keep track of your live event tickets

Managing live event tickets can be time-consuming and tedious, often leading to missed opportunities in tickets going to waste or missing out on events that could help win that next big prospect or deal. Using a centralized ticket management system provides endless benefits, from a seamless ticket request and approval process to allocating and distributing tickets, tracking usage, reselling or donating unneeded tickets to tracking investment returns. You can even track RSVPs and determine if recipients are failing to show despite responding with a “yes” — or you can follow up with them ahead of time, giving you time to reallocate their tickets if they need to cancel.

Let us help you get ready for your fall sports season! Our Ticket Booth ticket management system is a web-based, user-friendly platform that handles all your live event ticket needs. Our dedicated staff can help you source tickets to the most coveted events and assist with reselling and donating tickets.
