An abandoned mansion riddled with graffiti, along with a moss-filled pool, on the South Coast of New South Wales in Australia has had a price drop of around A$1 Million (US$650,000). The property on Fig Hill Lane, is known as Minnamurra Mansion and is an infamous local site riddled with graffiti works from locals and out of towners. The never completed mansion, which comes with development approval for an “eco resort,” has seen a price drop from a guide of A$6 million to A$6.6 million to now $5 million to $5.25 million. realestate.com.au

U.S. Mortgage Delinquencies Fell to Record Low Last Quarter

Despite the big jump in mortgage rates over the last year, U.S. mortgage delinquency rates fell to a record low in the second quarter due to a strong job market and low interest rates prevailing on most home loans, according to a report Thursday. Delinquency rates fell to 3.37% at the end of the second quarter, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association’s National Delinquency Survey, their lowest since the group began collecting data in 1979 and down from 3.64% recorded a year ago. Reuters

Calgary Rents Are Increasing Faster Than Any Other Major Canadian City

Rent prices in Calgary, Alberta, have increased faster than any other major city in Canada, according to a report from Rentals.ca. Average rents in Calgary rose 16.1% annually in July, placing it above Montreal, where rents went up 15.3% year over year. Despite rising prices, Calgary remains one of the more affordable cities in Canada to rent. The city’s average rent in July was C$2,036 (US$1,517) per month, just slightly below the country’s average rent of C$2,078, an annual increase of 8.9%. Daily Hive

India’s Luxury Homes Are Appreciating Faster Than the Rest of the Market

Luxury home prices in India have widely outperformed the broader housing market, according to data from property firm Anarock. The average price of a luxury home across seven major cities, including Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru, increased 24% over the past five years. Hyderabad in southern India logged the greatest price growth, with the average luxury home appreciating 42% since 2018. “Extremely robust sales ably supported by a good supply pipeline have resulted in luxury homes witnessing the most significant price appreciation,” said Anuj Puri, chairman of Anarock. Zee Business
