ITV London Film at Harris Nursery Hub Peckham

ITV London Film at Harris Nursery Hub Peckham

On Thursday 6th February Harris Nursery Hub Peckham officially opened. Children unveiled a special plaque to mark the day alongside Lord Harris of Peckham, Chairman of the Harris Federation, and Randeesh Sandhu, whose charity Urban Exposure Philanthropy is funding the nursery.

The nursery, which is open 11 hours a day for 51 weeks of the year, welcomed its first children in September. It aims to provide a wonderful social and learning environment, whilst removing the cost of childcare as a barrier to parents looking to work or study.

ITV London came along to the official opening to speak to parents and staff. We are particularly proud of two-year-old Jeremiah, who was interviewed too and was the star of the piece! You can watch ITV’s film below.

Sabeena Hasan, Primary Director of the Harris Federation, said:

“THE CHILDREN HAVE SETTLED IN WONDERFULLY AND ARE EXCEPTIONALLY HAPPY AT THE NURSERY. WE ARE SO PLEASED THAT PARENTS ARE THRIVING TOO, WITH MANY HAVING BEEN ABLE TO FIND WORK OR BEGIN STUDYING AS A RESULT OF THEIR CHILD’S PLACE AT THE NURSERY.”
