As 2024 gets rolling, we take forward lessons from the hottest year on record that brought both emergency and urgency to work to address environmental crises. The GEF partnership is making important strides to advance investment in nature protection and renewal, and to connect the dots between biodiversity, ocean health, climate change, and pollution, even in difficult times. Donors boost support to LDCF and SCCF

In a sign of positive momentum for climate change financing, nine donor governments announced new commitments to the Least Developed Countries Fund (LDCF) and Special Climate Change Fund (SCCF) and signaled their political support for the unique roles these funds play in addressing climate resilience needs. Read more >>
