Jaw Issues Can Happen After Whiplash

Because normal jaw function involves muscles and joints in both the jaw and neck, it's suspected that whiplash can disturb jaw function. Using questionnaires and a five-minute chewing test, researchers found that participants with a recent whiplash injury did indeed exhibit impaired jaw function. Journal of Oral Rehabilitation, September 2017
