JBIC Welcomes new Poland Entity
Sharing best practices and innovative solutions to complex healthcare challenges
The JBIC is thrilled to welcome its first JBI Collaboration Entity in Poland, Evidence-Based Healthcare in Wroclaw: A JBI Affiliated Group.
The JBI Collaboration continues to expand globally. The addition of our first JBIC Entity in Poland, is a landmark achievement for evidence-based healthcare in the country, marking a new era of systematic, research-driven healthcare practices that will benefit both patients and professionals.
The Evidence-Based Healthcare in Wroclaw is based at the Wroclaw Medical University, in collaboration with Jan Mikulicz-Radecki University Hospital. Wroclaw Medical University is one of Poland's leading medical schools, consistently ranked in prestigious international academic rankings. Next year, it will celebrate 75 years of distinguished history, a testament to its long-standing medical education and research contributions. The university's campus is uniquely divided into two parts: the historic "Old Clinics," a stunning neo-Gothic complex of buildings that holds a special place in the heart of academic life, and the Jan Mikulicz-Radecki University Hospital that reflects its commitment to innovation and modern healthcare.
Wroclaw, often called the "City of 100 Bridges," is a lively academic and cultural center with a rich history and dynamic atmosphere. This makes it an ideal location for advancing knowledge and promoting international collaborations. Establishing a JBI-Affiliated Group here builds on this tradition, further enhancing Wroclaw's reputation as a hub for excellence in healthcare and research.
The convenor, Dr. Hab Aleksandra Królikowska, drives the mission of the new JBIC Entity along with other members who bring a range of clinical and scientific experiences, ensuring a rich blend of practical and research-oriented perspectives. The team includes specialists in physiotherapy, cardiology, psychiatry, psychology, orthopaedics, public health, laboratory diagnostics, and data science. The diversity of the team is one of its greatest strengths, fostering innovative inter-professional collaboration that enables the group to address complex healthcare challenges with a fresh and holistic approach.
As the first JBI Affiliated Group in Poland, it is set to play a crucial role in the global effort to promote evidence-based healthcare. The group’s work will not only benefit the patients and healthcare professionals in Wroclaw and the surrounding region but will also contribute to the broader international community by sharing best practices and innovative solutions to complex healthcare challenges.
We warmly welcome our new JBIC Entity and look forward to supporting the exceptional work they will do to enhance healthcare outcomes in Poland and beyond.
