JGI at COP16, and our recommendations
The Jane Goodall Institute is attending COP16 – the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity – as an official observer and presenter, and our delegation has arrived. We aren't showing up empty-handed, either. We've come with recommendations for participants, outlining what they must do to ensure a harmonious relationship between humanity and the natural world.
These seven recommendations emphasize the importance of collaboration in addressing biodiversity loss and environmental sustainability. And they come from decades (and decades!) of hard work around the world – on the ground and in the field – in partnership with local experts, regional authorities, and community members.
Read about our recommendations in the JGI Global statement here, and join us as we urge participants and parties to act decisively and ambitiously. Let your leader know that you want them to not just make plans, but to carry them out. Together, all of us can foster a resilient planet for future generations.
