Join the Clean Air Revolution:Tackling Air Pollution Head On
Air Pollution is a concept that everyone is aware of but takes no action on it. Even the different policies launched by the government only necessitate the monitoring of air quality but do not require taking any action in case the air quality measured is bad/unhealthy. This is the most surprising aspect of air quality monitoring. Now, is air pollution such a serious problem that it needs urgent action? Is it worth the attention of a national emergency like a pandemic? The answer to this is a loud and resounding YES. This is because air pollution is invisible and highly dangerous.
The fact that we breathe air (involuntarily) every day is all the more reason to take action against air pollution immediately. According to the American Lung Association , a person consumes 2000 gallons of air every day; which is enough almost to fill up a normal-sized swimming pool. On average, a person inhales up to 6 liters of air in a minute. Here is our latest article on how our lungs process all that air and why we do nothing about the harmful air we breathe.

A lot of research has been done on how fatal is air pollution. Many studies have found evidence that air pollution causes heart attacks. But new research finds that air pollution also causes Heart Arrhythmias. Here is our latest article on what is heart arrhythmias, how it is triggered by air pollution, its impact on the younger generation, and its wider implications on health.

Not All Hope Is Lost!
While air pollution is a national and global emergency, there are many startups, NGOs, CSR foundations, and local government bodies taking action to reduce its impact on the lives of the citizens. Check out the story of Udaipur Municipal Corporation prioritizing the health of its citizens with clean air. The city saw a drop in particulate matter levels by more than 40% in 3 months' time, not only fulfilling its NCAP goals but also providing clean air to all the residents of the city.

Devic Earth is a disruptive clean-tech company that has created the first-of-its-kind large-scale ambient Air Purification system Pure Skies that reduces the levels of particulate matter in the ambient air. The technology, Pure Skies works through pulsed radio waves technology to create a temporary electromagnetic field. The field induces a temporary bipolar charge on the particles present in the air causing them to coagulate and become heavier thus falling to the ground due to gravity. This accelerates the natural process of dry deposition. Make a difference, and be a clean air advocate.
