Join Sussex Partnership Foundation Trust: A Rewarding Career in Mental Healthcare
On average, you'll work 1,820 to 2,080 hours this year. You could spend it doing the usual generic 9 to 5 job or do something amazing and change lives each day. Working for the Sussex Partnership Foundation Trust, you'll support our service users in reaching their mental health recovery goals. We offer a range of services, from community support to providing a safe place for someone to go when they cannot cope.
Starting your healthcare career is easy. When you join our Trust, you'll have the option to join a range of services helping to support our service users. At Sussex Partnership Foundation Trust, we have a range of clinical roles including;
Nursing
Our nurses work across our services and sites. A career in nursing with the NHS also provides job stability. It offers long-term career progression, with many training opportunities contributing to lifelong learning.
Psychiatrists
As a Psychiatrist, you'll use your psychological knowledge and expertise to understand difficulties, enable recovery, support health and wellbeing and deliver evidence-based psychological interventions, including psychological therapy.
Social Workers

Allied Healthcare Professionals
Sussex Partnership offers our users a range of creative therapy methods via our Allied health professionals who work across the Trust. Be it through getting the paints out and getting arty or simply playing a song that speaks what you could never put into words. We want to offer each person who comes to us for help a way to express their feelings.
Healthcare Support Worker
But what about if you are looking for a career change but do want to avoid going through the retraining process? Joining us as a Healthcare Support Worker is the thing for you. As an HSW, you'll help support our adult services across the Trust, whether helping a service user understand their condition and care plans or simply making their day a little brighter. Unlike many healthcare positions, a healthcare support worker does not require any specific qualifications or previous experience. What's most important are your attitude, willingness to learn, and passion for helping others.
Even if you do not want to work in the clinical side of Sussex Partnership, you can still make a difference. Our range of support services helps keep everything running in the background so that we can deliver quality care. This can be from giving users a warm welcome when they first step into our sites to recruiting the best medical staff to bring new care methods and ideas to the Trust. In all aspects of the services we provide, you will find our support services working in the background to ensure the smooth running of the department.
If you join Sussex Partnership, you will become a part of an NHS trust that values your contribution and helps you grow professionally. Our fantastic team members are the ones who make our organization thrive, and this translates into better care and support for the people who use our services.
