UPCOMING EVENTS
July 27th - 1pm mst
Colloidal Silica enhanced concrete has been shown to improve concrete pumping. The colloidal silica enhances the paste of the concrete composite so pump pressures reduce while the flow rate of the pumped concrete is maintained.
September 14th - 1pm mst
There are a wide variety of concrete tests to determine: strength, durability to physical attack, the efficiency of the binder, and more.
Nov. 16th, 2022 - 1 pm mst
The following event will allow concrete and construction entities to openly discuss the concrete slump, its correct uses, and how people are using it wrong.
CONCRETE FUN FACT!
Any material containing Portland Cement results in efflorescence. The most usual reaction occurs when calcium hydroxide (lime) forms in the hydration reaction of the cement are transported by water to the surface through capillaries in the concrete. There it combines with CO2 in the air to produce calcium carbonate and water. (Source: ibid)
