July recap- FL Technics news
Comprehensive MRO and growing ACMI – synergy case between FL Technics and Avion Express
Aviation market is catching the pre-pandemic levels of the business, and growing traveling demand dictates the need to bring the grounded fleet to airworthiness, as fast as possible even after long-term parking.
Recent story of Avion Express Airbus A320 proves that efficient projects are successfully delivered when the team of aviation professionals work together in synergy.
The Airbus A320 which has been parked at Kaunas International Airport in Lithuania just took off to service those traveling to their holiday destinations. The aircraft was due for heavy maintenance – 2 years’ check with additional 6 years’ structure checks, after conservation and long-term parking of up to 2 years.
We are glad that the synergy between the client company Avion Express and FL Technics experts proved such demanding project can be delivered in just less than 2 months, due to quick decision making, smooth communication between the teams and a reliable supply chain of the aircraft components.
FL Technics team wishes a relaxing flight!
Let alone the rigorous regulations of aviation industry, FL Technics goes an extra mile to meet every clients needs
This was the case with a recent aircraft redelivery project implemented at FL Technics MRO hub in Lithuania. While the project was complex on its own, involving aircraft delivery (which was previously operated in Middle East and Asia), one of the leading aviation lessors, and a new airline in the Americas as an end customer. This made FL Technics a perfect location with the right capacity, capabilities, at the right location.
Yet interesting to point out, the core delivery process including C-Check went fluently, while the largest portion of time and resources were dedicated to tailor-made requests and needs from the end customer. Among the dozens of tasks delivered, there were aircraft exterior paint color adjustments (during the process), renewal of seat trimming, and more.
FL Technics once again supported an intercontinental aircraft delivery project, connecting airlines and lessors, with a bespoke attention to customer needs.
FL Technics, Aircraft Maintenance and Repair Organisation, and our aircraft re-delivery partner, MAAS Aviation are busier than ever.
Amongst other projects recently completed at our adjacent facilities in Kaunas, Lithuania, we are proud to have worked together on the re-delivery of five A320s for Vueling Airlines.
FL Technics completed the maintenance and repair services for the Spanish low-cost carrier, with MAAS providing the aircraft painting services. By combining services, we are able to offer a one-stop-shop solution for MRO and aircraft repainting services in Kaunas.
We are pleased to see that our strategically located redelivery hub for asset transitions is attracting an increasing number of lessors and airlines.

FL Technics people
During the past couple of years, FL Technics and its subsidiaries were heavily involved with the charities helping those in need.
FL Technics, as a company, has been donating goods while the team spent their time outside of working hours at the local charities.
We'd like to share a story of our colleague - George Perez Luna, from Chevron Technical Services & Aircraft Maintenance , UK, who embarked on a summer challenge in order to raise funds for CAFT. The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust is a charity that provides free residential holidays for terminally ill, disabled and disadvantaged children.
His goal is Duathlon that consists of 2 challenges. 1st half has already been done, while the 2nd one is still to come.
George is getting ready for conquering the Alps with a bike. The 4-day route will take him through 6 countries - Italy, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, Germany and France. The route is tough with elevation of over 8000 m.
We'd like to wish George good luck.
