Description & mission

In this position, you will support the development of the Brussels-based podcast production agency Bulle Media and its Europod network of podcasts and podcasters becoming the main assistant of the editorial director of the agency.

You will work in a growing multicultural team of enthusiastic young professionals in journalism, podcasting and European affairs, in an inspiring and challenging work environment.

Your mission will be to assist the editorial director in:

  • sketching concepts for podcast series for Bulle Media’s clients (type of clients: foundations, think tanks, research institutes, institutions, political parties and other),
  • drafting scripts of podcasts Bulle Media produces for clients and of Bulle Media’s original series (type of clients: foundations, think tanks, research institutes, institutions, political parties and other),
  • running interviews through web-applications like Zencastr, Riverside part of the production process of podcasts for clients of Bulle Media and of Bulle Media’s original series,
  • reading and summarising background readings for the interviews and conduct editorial research,
  • looking for relevant guests for the original series of the agency and manage email exchanges with the latter,
  • managing relationships with the members of a network of European podcasters - Europod network.

Conditions

  • Freelancer working on a horizontal part-time basis

  • From the 15th of June 2022 onwards

Profile

  • You are a junior freelancer with some experience in the field of journalism.
  • You have very good English language writing skills.
  • You have an interest in European and current affairs.
  • You are capable of switching from one theme to another depending on changing priorities.
  • You are a sociable person and are not shy in front of the mic.
  • You understand (listening and reading) two more European languages (out of German, Italian, Spanish, French and Polish).
  • You are able to stay motivated also by working from remote with a team spread across the Continent and its headquarter in Brussels.
