Just Imagine This.
Just imagine Autumn 2020.
All lock downs are terminated, doors are fully open and crowds of even more educated and highly self developed people populate the streets of the world.
Few foreign languages have been learned through this quarantine period. On average 9 books read by each person. They know more. They are now even smarter. And everyone, absolutely every single person is now able to fully support conversations on any topic and lay out interesting ideas on the table. Finally, they've lost those 20 pounds, that were bothering them, using online marathons. They finally got out of those toxic relationships, thanks to social distancing. And those in true love, have finally reunited with beloved ones and are now having a posh dinner in that Italian restaurant by the beach.
Every day is colorful again! Our schedules are busy, calendars are packed, and here we are rushing for a birthday of the best friend that was supposed to happen in May, followed by a wedding reception of people who went through quarantine together and still decided to marry each other. Decorators, florists, event organizers are working 3-shifts per day processing boosted demand on their services.
The nearest available spot in your favorite hair salon is only in February 2021. Hairdressers, nail technicians are urgently hiring and training more people and are working 24 hours non-stop to attend all of women and men who were left untouched during this period.
And here comes Christmas 2020. Many new people are born. New generation of Coronials.
And just imagine for a second...
The joy of going back to your favorite Cafe... Sitting at the same table and having your favorite piece of cake with that soothing coffee that took 15 minutes to get, because of the crowd in the middle of Sunday afternoon. And the best thing is that the taste of that cake remains the same, as you've had it few months ago. You see that cafe's owner, and tell him a joke, which he probably won't get anymore, but you can still feel that sparkle behind the bags under his eyes. The sparkle of a successful business owner, who once decided to open your favorite Cafe.
The joy of getting stuck in a traffic jam, listening to your favorite jam on the radio. Not just drive through 12 blocks to the grocery store. But actually getting stuck on the street where you grew up. Looking at people crossing the street and rushing to work, they seem like they've changed that 9-6 job they hated.
For the sake of it, we will again see those blocked roads everywhere, because of the event happening on the next street and brag about it on Facebook! Post pictures of your feet from the beach and annoy everyone!
Those who still didn't watch enough of TV, will not be bored, as they will simultaneously broadcast the Olympics, Cannes Film Festival, some kind of economic forum, Super Cup and the Champions League! Enough for everyone!
You can now start complaining about that slow WiFi on an airplane and try to get your 72 pounds bag checked in for free, just because you don't want to pay. Those airplanes at first will look like a school buses! Everyone will be happy, standing in the aisles and talking to each other without any fears in the back of their minds. They will shake hands and hug each other, when times come to say goodbye for someone to fly abroad and continue their job, education or go back to the beloved sea.
Our beloved officials, will finally realize that something is wrong with medicine field. This time has taught them how valuable doctors are.
We will finally start respecting every single elderly and help them with everything we can. Because we now understand how vulnerable they can be.
And the best of all... We will never again take those times for granted. When we go to see the new blockbuster at the biggest theater in town with friends, we will genuinely be happy. Because couple of bucks we pay for a ticket won't matter anymore. The fact that we CAN do it will. Any time. Any day.
Just imagine this.
Just imagine that we will defeat him.
Just imagine September 2020.
