The unfavourable effects of the Kaalsarp Yog are not evident when planet Saturn is in "Shash" Yog, which is when Shani is located in either quadrants in its exalted or his own sign without having the aspect or conjunction of any malefic planet or the lord of inauspicious house. It lessens the negative effects of Kaalsarp Yog.

All of the problems brought on by Kaalsarp Yog are resolved when the Moon-Mars conjunction occurs in quadrants in one of their exaltation signs or their own sign, and neither of these signs is aspected by or conjunct with any malefic planet.
