KEEP YOUR FITNESS WORKOUTS FRESH, EXCITING AND MOTIVATIONAL......

It’s great when it all just flows......

When you can’t wait to get to the gym and smash your workout........

When motivation is oozing out of you.......

BUT, we are humans and the above is rarely the case!

Even the most driven and dedicated individuals have times when they ‘just can’t be bothered!’.........However, the key is to make sure you still ‘show up’ on these days!!

Whilst determination, self-will and dedication are needed, there are also methods and tips that you can implement to make success more likely. Below I have compiled a list of some of my favs..........

1. COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY WITH YOURSELF!

Make sure you describe your training in a positive way! If you are always saying things like “I have to workout”, “I hate this training” or “I need to go to the damn gym” you are subconsciously sabotaging your fitness!

Flip this around and add a positive thought process and words - “I get to go to the gym tonight, yippee”!!!

What you focus on is what you become!!

2. MAKE THE BEAT KEEP YOU SWEET!

If you don’t listen to music or motivational speeches during your workouts you are missing an easy boost!!

Taking it a step further - make sure your music fits the gym. Pump-up upbeat music can really add an extra dimension to your training and make you feel unbeatable!

Take the time to create a couple of ‘Gym mixes’ of your favourite tunes!

3. BE FLEXIBLE!

Whilst I highly recommend having a schedule and training plan, you must also be mindful that things change!

Don’t give up on your health and fitness because that morning or weekend slot is no longer feasible!

There is always time - you may just have to shake things up a little and change your routine!

Your workout time must complement your life, so play around a bit and find what works best for you!

Just don’t use it as an easy excuse not to be fit and healthy!!

4. TRY NEW THINGS!

Exercise can be fun! If you don’t enjoy going to the gym or working out it may just be you haven’t found what you like yet!

As a coach I want workouts to be hard and challenging, yet enjoyable. I always want to hear my clients feedback and will work on finding what works best for them!

Some people like running - others hate it! The beauty of fitness training is there is a massive variety of exercises and training methods!

5. KEEP YOUR ‘WHY’ IN SIGHT AND MIND DAILY!

When times get hard and motivation has left town it’s key that you are reminded of ‘why’ you are doing this!

Your goal came about for a reason - now make sure it happens!

Re-enforce that goal daily. This may be a strategically place note or quote, a photo you wish never got taken, that large pair of jeans you used to squeeze into, that dream physique you saw on Instagram............

What ever gets you in the zone - use it!

As usual, any questions fire them over.
