The Keystone Principle of Leadership: Leadership By Example

#leadership #example #followers #leaders #doasyoudo #notasyousay #findyourcompass

In leadership, the ALPHA dog is always the needle mover - the one everyone looks to for guidance and insight.

In the world of leadership, there is no more profound aspect than leadership by example.

As leaders here in your businesses, you are the central focal point - your vision, behaviors and your consistency are all viewed, like a hawk.

When someone sees you doing your part and being a needle mover, the most profound aspect of leadership I've known is that of mimicking. Mimicking of your words, walk, energy and ambition.

Take for example: A company with leaders that dress in high quality suits, shined shoes, carrying flawless looking briefcases etc. What does that do for the image of the company?

Well, your folks will begin to imitate that standard and the higher you raise the standard, the better. And it doesn't necessarily have to be suits - it could be jeans. I use clothing as an example because again, this aspect of do what I do and not what I say reigns true.

People don't respond to barking dogs... They don't respond to loud and outlandish individuals whom lead with a whip.

That is not going to cut it.... Cut it out if that's YOU!

The 21st Century Leader

Leadership is the ability to get extraordinary achievement from ordinary people.

Leaders are always on stage - whether they like it or not. And how you show up can make a massive difference in your life, income and happiness as a business owner.

The example you set to your team members - not employees. Remember, they work for themselves. When you recognize that, leadership now becomes a more enjoyable aspect of life, knowing that their goals and ambitions are possible - when you are able to guide them to their end objective.

Leadership is not stand on the mountain top and beat your chest.

In 2022, we must look at this from this perspective:

Leadership isn't about how you move your lips, it's about how you move your feet.

From Hero's Journey, Module 2, from Darren Hardy

Let's look at it like this... Your feet move, your action is bold and grand, people will recognize. Action brings results and in that, it magnifies your mission because people see it as the standard of excellence.

People are familiar with what is embedded inside of them - let them see what is possible.

As a business owner, let them see the example of excellence and ulimate achievement.

As I look at Bob Proctor, God rest his soul, he was the ulimate leader. He created movement with his work and in that, examples of what could be possible were created by the thousands, including me.

I saw what he did - how he showed up everyday. How he spoke and walked in this world. Until his very end, he was the leader and for that, I am grateful to have been his follower.

I want to share this to let you know that the best thing you can do as a business owner, is to get you a coach in business that understands this leadership principle. They know how to lead from the front.

It will make a profound impact in your life, income and happiness.

And for that, 2022 is ours when we lead from the front. I wish that for you my friend.

As always, if you like this post and would like to share, leave a comment first and share it, using the hashtag #findyourcompass.

It's time we all use our Compass in life and business and give the hope of a new and better future to someone who is looking to us for guidance.

That is how we become the light and the example. Be that, for all of us.. that need your gift to shine in this world.

Make your action your instruction and may you continue to craft a new path towards the greatness you seek everyday. Let's Find Your Compass..

All in this together,

Love this article. People who respond (or more likely shrink) to loud and outlandish individuals whom lead with a whip don't realize their voice or better yet...know how to use their voice. My hope is that people will show up and show off their talents, strengths, and voice to truly make an impact!! Thanks Roger!
