Killings Of Our Enemies Shouldn't Change Us

The lavish billionaire / celebrity lifestyle of the top Hamas bosses came to an abrupt end over the last couple of days - there are celebrations and memes all over social media and WhatsApp groups.

Like everyone else - I'm happy they were taken out.

But will it really change anything in the long run? No.

Let's separate two things - there is the professional side of dealing with these things. The army and war committee made a decision and we need to support that 100% - especially during a time of war.

Of course these murderers have to pay a price for their actions. But the problem is that this is only a local solution for dealing with the October 7th attack and the war - it's not a long-term solution.

It's a big problem that we've been dragged into the social media trend of celebrating death and making jokes about death like our enemies do. We've deteriorated and become influenced by things that do not suit Israel's essence. It's as if we're mimicking the behavior of all the Pro-Palestinian protesters and social media accounts.

In the long term, we have real problems here in our region. These killings were only a response to the long-term situation. But there is nothing here that will advance Israel's mission to promote higher values in the world such as "love for your neighbor as yourself".

But since we've already been dragged into this negative behavior - what can we do about it?

Instead of dragging ourselves through the mud, we need to keep pushing the positive side. We need to be the picture of positive support, because this is how we strengthen ourselves. By supporting the soldiers, the bereaved families, the Holocaust survivors and the elderly - all the things that went into high gear since the beginning of the war.

This is where our resilience and strength comes from - by continuing to create that incredible Israeli spirit everywhere we go.

This is the required response by a people with high morals like the people of Israel.

The current generation of the global population should know the history that Jews were persecuted across Europe for various reasons. It was Muslims who saved them in Africa and the Middle East, which is how Jewish populations spread across these regions. Now, most Jews have started abusing Muslims—how thankful they are to the Muslim community.

The enemy knows that we are more moral than the hate they spread and they are using that against us. The world hates us because the enemy has better PR.
