Kiosk Industry News April

The Kiosk Association’s mission is to inform and educate on self-service. Membership is open to all companies across the world. If you follow accessibility guidelines and encourage ADA and would like to be recognized, contact us at info@kioskindustry.org.

Next up as far as kiosk trade shows go is NRA (National Restaurant Association) in Chicago booth 5536 in North Building. Here is our portal page on NRA site. If you need a free pass we can help. For HIMSS wrap, we highly recommend the 3D walk thru that LG put together.  Absolutely stunning! Preview of InfoComm 2024 - See 22Miles, Peerless-AV, LG and Panasonic to name some. Biggest AV show of the year (along with ISE in Barcelona)

Editors Choice:

  • New AI Assist subsystem for Clover POS kiosks is amazing (and deployed/available). If nothing else take a look at the eight page AI Tools Setup pdf.  20% increase in sales.  It's time to quit thinking or talking about AI in self ordering, and truly start taking advantage of it in real practice.
  • You can see it at NRA and booth 5536 in North Building
  • Next week is quarterly Teams conference call for Accessibility Committee.  Any/all invited. Usually around 100+.  DOJ just released web accessibility rules for web and in particular mobile apps.  Non-delegable responsibility is key point I think. New self service machine and POS standards due in 2 months along with EV charging standards.
  • Pricing News - new marketplace for parts/kiosks by SuzoHapp + our online for sale database which includes components from China. Finally we note that new robot waiter servers pricing has dropped below $5000.  Wow.  Pickup lockers ala Amazon Hub or USPS are available is 72 compartments complete turnkey for less than $40K.

Its just nice to see toolset given to operators instead of trusting someone saying, "Oh yes, we use AI" and never explain how, or let you configure it. This is configurable AI Assist.
