The Last Note!

The Last Note!

I’m stuck behind four walls

my life is drifting by

and I ain’t got no money

so think I’m going to die

cause I shot that no good woman

she gone and done me wrong

I’m stuck behind these bars now

and know I cannot run

I caught her with another and

filled them full of lead

she pleaded baby

don’t do it

even tried to cry instead

But I let those bullets fly

just didn’t give a damn

now there sending me to fry

down in Alabama land.

When they wrap those cables

around me, I’ll be a singing

this one last song

for all you folks behind the glass.

Time is on my side yes it is

Time is on my side yes it -
