Launch Your LinkedIn Newsletter

Launch Your LinkedIn Newsletter

When LinkedIn added its newsletter feature to their publishing platform, I was skeptical. I haven't been that jazzed about LinkedIn's publishing platform. And even though I'm one of LinkedIn's biggest cheerleaders, they've launched some features that totally tanked. Anyone remember LinkedIn stories?

Yeah, didn't think so.

But I finally gave in to trying out the newsletter feature because I wanted to know if it was worth recommending it to my clients. So I went for it and started this newsletter – Personal Brand Boost.

27 issues later - I'm hooked!

The newsletter feature gives me a way to regularly connect with my network and share my insights with them. It's been a total game changer for nurturing relationships and driving engagement. I've gotten way more feedback and conversation than I ever did from just posting articles.

In this episode:

If you've been thinking about starting a LinkedIn newsletter, it's time to just do it already - because LinkedIn has made creating and sharing them crazy simple and super powerful.

Here are four reasons you to start your newsletter NOW:

1. It Lets You Get Up Close and Personal with Your Peeps

Unlike regular posts, LinkedIn newsletters let you have real, regular conversations with your followers. Newsletter engagement is way higher than likes and comments on random posts. Newsletter readership has tripled with over 1.3 million daily readers!

2. It's a Fan Growth Hack

Having a newsletter expands your reach and makes you more discoverable. When someone subscribes, they automatically become a follower. That means - instant audience growth.

The best part is the automatic announcement when you publish your first issue. Your followers get notified and can subscribe with one click. After that, they get alerts every time you publish so they never miss the valuable content you share.

3. It's Hyper Targeted

LinkedIn lets you create customized newsletters for different audience groups. No more wasting your network's time with irrelevant info. You can have up to five different newsletters, each with its own niche, vibe and posting schedule.

4. It's Simple

Writing takes time and mental energy. But LinkedIn's new editor makes it fast and simple to whip up professional newsletters with text, photos, videos – a full multimedia experience!

You can even get a trusted friend or colleague to review your brilliance before you hit publish. The "share draft" feature is key for catching typos and stuff that makes sense to you... but not to others.

For your followers, finding and staying up-to-date is effortless. Your newsletter pops up in searches, and they can subscribe with one click. No hunting down your latest and greatest required.

Making newsletters yourself can be a major time synch. But LinkedIn hands you a polished newsletter system and a built-in audience of nearly a billion members!

Did I convince you?

What are you waiting for? Start growing your audience and sharing your unique perspective. Your fans want to hear from you - give them what they want.

I’ll be on the lookout for your first issue.
