Lawrence Jean-Louis: What I’d Like to Achieve in 2024

I’ve updated and revised Lawrence Jean-Louis: Who Do I Want To Be to reflect what I’d like to achieve in 2024. I will actively set myself up to become a skilled consultant… in the top 10% globally. Become a successful beaded and mixed media jewelry artist, develop healthy reciprocal relationships, take the steps towards becoming a successful investor.

I’m focused on the profitability of both eBrand Me and beYOUteous. I’d like to obtain my CFA (have the date of November 2024 in my calendar for on level 1 exam), pay off debt, start to invest in anticipation of starting the investment practice by 2030.

eBrand Me is a digital marketing agency offering marketing & consultative services to CPAs and tax professionals such as business directory listings, search engine optimization, content marketing, search engine marketing, lead generation and website design.

beYOUteous is an eCommerce store offering a line of handcrafted beaded jewelry which aims to spread the message for embracing individuality, feminine strength, and empowerment.

To achieve this, I’ll be doing the following:

• Release a quarterly print magazine in January (Winter 2023) titled Random Musings by beYOUteous. Random Musings by beYOUteous will feature articles from the Random Musings blog, sharing the lives of women such as Sojourner Truth, Marie Curie, Cleopatra, Eleanor Roosevelt, Hetty Green, Indira Gandhi and more. Ad space is available, contact support@beyouteous.com.  
• Continue my outreach to museum contacts with the goal of consigning beYOUteous handcrafted beaded jewelry to at least 39 art museums, while also pursuing wholesale retail opportunities. You can contact support@beyouteous.com for the price list. I’ll actively take steps to generate regularly recurring sales on the website.

As for eBrand Me, I’ll be doing the following:

• Offer monthly consulting services. You can schedule me for a one-on-one session to go over your business goals, plans, challenges. If you’re a CPA in need of marketing services, I recommend that you first schedule a complimentary consultation.  
• Promote business directory listings to my book of business, as well as prospects, is another action step towards realizing these goals. Each quarter, I’ll focus on improving my skills; be current with advancements in marketing, be ethical in marketing, refresh skillset in web design, graphic design, and revisit my appreciation for typography. Improving my writing, both for copywriting but also for the purpose of writing literature.

• Don’t Cry for Me, Alexandria is planned for 2027. I hope that it will be a book that truly reflects my growth as an author, as well as a storyteller, since it’ll be a novel featuring characters such as Cleopatra, Hippocrates, Archimedes, Galen, Plutarch, and others who may have lived in or visited the library of Alexandria. The goal is to create a fictional setting detailing the culture, food, music, but also the lives and contributions of the above mentioned individuals.
• I’m looking to publish a book or a series of books on the history of the 50 US states while tying that history to the present. To make the connection that whether good or bad, history shapes the present… sort of like a time machine. If you had the ability to go back in time and change something, that would domino effect into the present. With this in mind, I’d like to visit all of the U.S. states maybe as part a cross-country road trip.

Still on topic of learning a new skill each quarter, returning to photography is very important as far as growing as an artist. Hopefully, with the relationships being developed with the art museums as far as my handcrafted beaded jewelry, I’ll have opportunities to exhibit both nationally as well as globally.

Living situation is still questionable, but regardless, I need a foundation… a place to live (rent), then a homeowner who grows flowers, vegetables and fruits.

Health, I’m not a spring chicken. I need to take better care of my health: exercise, mammogram, the edema.

I’d like to clarify what my involvement with cryptocurrencies and blockchain will be as far as decentralizing finance. I’d like to identify how to be influential and for causes of good, and in the end, have a lasting positive impact in the world.

The same questions remain. What do I want my life to stand for? When I die, what will I have left behind? We all have influence, how do we influence those around us?
