Lead Generation Mastery- a complete guide.

What is a Lead?

Any individual who is interested in your product/service is called a Lead. I really want to clear this misconception that "People who buy your product/service is called a lead, NO!!"

I would be partial if I say lead generation is a process because, it's not just a process but a tricky process. You can not expect the results with that strict process, it's about how you build connection with all creativity and innovation in that process. So let's begin!

Lead generation process

Lead Generation Process:

  1. Attract- You need to attract the right audience. For that first answer "Who will buy my product/service?" & "Why they will why my product/service?" These 2 questions will help you to know about your target audience.
  2. Discuss- While you are attracting to your audience just be creative in that and talk about what they feel exactly, what problem they have and inform them that you understand them better.
  3. Educate- Once you have discussed teach them that there is a solution and with that solution their life can be easier!! Tell them how that problem can be solved.
  4. Present- Now you need to present your product/service which would be their actual solution. That's how you pitch a product/service.

What are the sources and mode of Lead Generation?

There are various sources of Lead generation. I have divided it in 2 modes so that it will be easier to decide which way you want to go ahead.

Lead generation sources

These are the sources which will help you to understand better about lead generation modes like which would be the easiest mode you can pick and work on. Either it is paid/ unpaid or online/offline. To decide this think when your audience is available and what budget you have.

Last but not the least here are some points I would like to add:

  • Remember do invest your enough time to evaluation & target the audience.
  • Set budget and calculate ROI necessarily once a week or each month depends on the platform.
  • If you are into B2C industry, understand on which platform your audience is more available.
  • If you are into B2B then you already know LinkedIn, Twitter, Email Marketing and other thirst party platforms are there for lead generation!
  • Choose wisely between paid and unpaid method of lead generation, as if you need quick results then paid is the best but you want to go organic then invest time and effort for it.
