Lead With Head: Your Heart Is No Match For Leadership

Lead With Head: Your Heart Is No Match For Leadership

“A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.”

Do you think this to be right? If yes, then you are on the right track of leadership. But if you want to win the race of leadership you must learn to lead with head and not with emotions that rule your heart. Not everyone can lead. One must have courage, right mind set and power to tackle any situation. I have never imagined that life could be so overwhelming being a leader. But I have learnt well enough with time. Now, I can say that leadership is a never-ending journey that works only when you have the key to turn impossible into reality.

Honestly, making impossible possible needs strong determination which born out of our heads. Heart is the mere pool of feelings that can suppress your progress.

So What Comes With Leadership?

Positive Mind- I have a habit of embracing every difficult aspect positively. I feel that every difficulty has a way out. You can only see the silver line if you are not pessimist. To be a leader you need to understand that without failures you cannot move ahead. You cannot stop moving no matter what stops you. Your emotions might tell you otherwise, but leadership is like making decisions in a battleground. You have to think with head. There’s no place for heart business.

No Place For Emotions

Be compassionate about your employees, but that does not mean you will tolerate their irresponsibility or lack of work ethics. Do not bring family business in your work zone. Disappointments and tiredness will be there always, but one has to remain strong and calm. Taking a decision on the basis of impulsiveness driven by your heart will cost you your reputation and standard of business. Never let feeling to get in the way of business. People need strong leaders and someone to rely upon.

Be Wise

If you want to manage staffs and create a good working environment which is essential, you need to care for your employees and their well-being. You must understand other’s weakness, strengths and come up with sensible approaches to sort things out. Your judgement should be equal and just.

There is no denying that a leader has to look after lots of different things, solve issues, and implement ideas and what not. Each new day is a challenge to a leader. I make decisions and constantly try to improve my company performance. This includes future growth, performance analysis, monitoring records and also seeks answers for all the ensuing complex questions throw at my face.

Yes, I have to struggle, but I know my path is not built with weak materials. It is formed with hard and harsh truth that my head gives out.

Not everyone has the power to lead or be a person with strong mind. But once you try to eliminate the fact that leadership is a burden, you can get the deep meaning of it.

Well written article for the leaders and for the mind. However, I would like to read and add also another side of the heart. This heart is not weak but strong for righteousness and truth with mind support it. Look around and see... there are so many strong minded politics, CEOs and leaders in this world these days. One sage recently said, " there is missing heart in people because we put too much effort to promote and trust mind only. I believe in son of man - human - because human has mind, heart, spirit and soul. Everything you do, you do with it all. Be the leader with a good spirit which has a heart. Do not lead for the spirit of money as many do. Be unique leader with heart of right guide and strong decisions and this is my thought to humbly share, inspired by your article.
