Lean on God's Nearness
"The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth." - Psalm 145:18 (NIV)
It's natural to face moments of weariness and discouragement in our faith walk. These feelings, though daunting, remind us of our need to trust in someone greater than ourselves.
Psalm 145 reminds us God does not distance Himself from us, especially when we are burdened. He draws near to those who reach out to Him sincerely. Our cries for help do not go unheard; our whispered prayers in the dead of night are listened to by a God who is infinitely compassionate and loving.
Feeling discouraged does not diminish your value in God's eyes, nor does it make you a lesser member of His Kingdom. Every follower of Christ will, at some point, walk through valleys of shadow. In these valleys we often find the most profound experiences of God's closeness.
God's nearness gives us the strength we need. He equips us with the courage to continue and the hope that the dawn will break on every night of sorrow.
So, when you find yourself on the verge of giving up, remember you're not alone. The God of all comfort is near to all who call on Him in truth. He understands your weariness. He sees your struggles and offers you His support.
Approach God today with the confidence of being His child, knowing that in every season of your life, His love is always available to you.
