Leaning Left Politically?

Leaning Left Politically?

Bernie Sanders has definitely found a lot of support for his socialistic, leftist, anti Hillary viewpoints.  It appears to come mostly from younger people that may not know a great deal about the difference between a democrat and a socialist.  Debbie Wasserman Schultz, chairperson of the Democratic National Committee couldn't even explain the difference.  Sad but true!

I believe it's much easier to compare a conservative capitalist to a liberal left leaning socialist.  One believes in personal accomplishments and follows the philosophy that if I find success in life it's because of my hard work and individual freedom to be the best that I can be.  The other believes that ultimate success will only come from government programs and that the success of big business comes at the expense of the people.

The socialist believes in big government and the conservative feels that less government is better not only for the individuals but also for the country.  How all of this is going to shake out depends on the final results of the next presidential election.  Can our nation survive if we have a socialist, left leaning, liberal thinking, president like Bernie Sanders or Hillary Clinton?

Only time will tell!
