Learn with and from Leaders

Learn with and from Leaders

Last year we introduced more, long-form workshops to the summit and they provided such clear value to the ETLS community that we’ve decided to dedicate the second half of Day 2 to this popular programming.

Unique to ETLS, these workshops allow attendees to deepen their learning and make meaningful connections with both conference presenters and fellow participants. This ensures that your experience at the Summit will be a high-value, high-learning opportunity across the board.

This year, Enterprise Tech Leadership Summit welcomes the following workshops:

Exploring the Deep Current with Admiral John Richardson, USN (Retired), Former Chief of Naval Operations

Admiral John Richardson served 37 years in the U.S. Navy, completing his service as the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO), the top officer in the Navy. Since retirement, he has joined the boards of several major corporations and works in leader development. Join him for a discussion focused on the question, “OK, so what do I DO next?”

You’ll leave the session with some specific, actionable ideas about achieving best-ever performance by deliberately building character, creativity, and connections within your team.

Improving Developer Productivity with DORA and DX

Laura Tacho , CTO, DX & Nathen Harvey , DORA Lead and Developer Advocate, Google Cloud

Ready to measure and improve developer productivity in your organization? Join Laura Tacho, CTO at DX, and Nathen Harvey, DORA Lead, for an interactive workshop where you'll learn actionable strategies to measure and increase engineering performance.

Explore developer productivity fundamentals with proven frameworks like DORA metrics and the DX Core 4. Through engaging exercises and real-world examples, you'll create a customized plan to advocate for developer productivity in your organization. Transitioning from theory to practice, you’ll learn what and how to measure, and how to use this data to drive real improvements.

Leave this workshop equipped with a comprehensive understanding of developer productivity and a roadmap to create a high-performing engineering team in your company.

Unlocking GenAI: A Primer and Concept Hackathon

Joseph Enochs , Managing Director, Emerging Technologies, EVT & John Willis , MongoDB

Joseph Enochs and John Willis will deliver a 90 minute workshop designed to be a primer for technology leaders on what is possible with GenAI, and how to do it safely, using everything we’ve learned from DevOps and DevSecOps.

They will also host a “concept hackathon,” where technology leaders brainstorm and present low-risk, potentially high-gain ideas that they could undertake to learn how to use this exciting new technology.

John and Joseph have conducted similar workshops over 10x to organizations with great success and look forward to sharing their insights in this dynamic and collaborative way with the ETLS community.

Automated Governance Design & Implementation

Michael Edenzon , CEO, Fianu & Adam Berelowitz , GitHub Enterprise AppSec Executive

Are you interested in taking your pipeline’s Automated Governance to the next level? Join Michael Edenzon, CEO of Fianu, and Adam Berelowitz, GitHub Enterprise AppSec Executive, for an interactive, step-by-step workshop where you’ll take away actionable strategies and tactics to boost compliance, reduce audit burden, and improve developer happiness.

This workshop will focus on the activities that occur between ticket creation, code  commit, build, and release. Together, we’ll craft capture points for each of the controls  below, set policies, and plot enforcement points along the software development lifecycle.

You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with peers, and design new patterns to “shift left”  on event capture and “shift to the right time” for enforcement.

Leave this workshop with an architecture for your DevSecOps pipeline that will build  bridges between Engineering, Security, Quality, and Audit.
