#42-Learning "to Swim" with Business Sharks

"If you want to do really well in business, it's smart to learn from those who are already doing well". You can think of it like this: if you want to be a good swimmer, it helps to watch and learn from a good swimmer. This idea is important for business too.

Imagine you're starting a business or working in a job. There are people who are already successful in what you want to do. These successful people are often called 'sharks' because they're really good at what they do. They work hard, they know how to make good choices, and they're not afraid to take risks.

So, the saying goes, 'If you want to be a shark, you need to follow a shark.' This means that if you want to be successful in your business or career, you should pay attention to what successful people are doing. Here's why it matters:

Learning from Experts: Just like you learn how to ride a bike by watching someone who can already ride, you can learn a lot by watching how successful people do business. You can pick up tips on how they make decisions and handle tough situations.

Thinking Ahead: Successful people are good at thinking about the future and planning for it. If you follow their example, you can learn how to think ahead in your own work. This can help you make better choices and be ready for changes.

Making Friends and Partners: Successful people usually know a lot of other people who are also successful. When you follow their lead, you might get to know these people too. This can open doors for you to work together and help each other grow.

Working Hard and Not Giving Up: Sharks work really hard to reach their goals. They don't give up easily, even when things get tough. By watching them, you can learn how to stay determined and keep going even when you face challenges.

Being Creative: Successful people often come up with new and exciting ideas. When you follow their ways, you might learn to think creatively too. This can help you find new solutions to problems.

Knowing What's Happening: Successful people usually know a lot about what's happening in their industry. If you pay attention to them, you can learn about important trends and changes. This knowledge can help you make better decisions for your own business or job.

In essence, the expression "If you want to be a shark, you need to follow a shark" underscores the importance of mentorship, learning from the best, and incorporating successful strategies into your own approach.

It encourages individuals to seek out role models and mentors who can provide guidance, share experiences, and inspire them to elevate their performance in the competitive world of business.

By adopting the traits and strategies of these business "sharks," you can enhance your chances of achieving your professional aspirations and thriving in your chosen field.
