Let's Check Out What's New in R3 Corda 5 Beta 2.0.

R3 Corda has just released its beta 2.0 for next-gen Corda and the official Next-Gen Corda GA release is set to be released in May 2023. R3 Corda 5 Beta 2.0 is the latest version of Corda, a distributed ledger platform for building decentralized applications. In this newsletter today, we'll learn all about the new features added in this version. In our previous article, we learned all about "Blockchain Wallets" which you can quickly check out here. Now let's get started with our newly added features of "R3 Corda 5.0 beta 2.0".

Quick Overview of R3 Corda

R3 Corda is an open-source blockchain platform designed for business use. It was developed by R3, a blockchain technology company, and was first released in 2016. The platform is designed to allow businesses to transact directly with each other in a secure and private manner, without the need for a central authority.

Unlike other blockchain platforms, Corda is designed for specific use cases within industries such as finance, healthcare, and supply chain management. It uses a unique approach to a consensus that allows for privacy and scalability. Corda also includes a "notary" system, which allows parties to prove the existence and validity of transactions without revealing their details to other parties on the network.

One of the key features of Corda is its "smart contract" functionality, which allows businesses to create and execute contracts automatically when certain conditions are met. These smart contracts are written in Java, which makes it easy for businesses to integrate with their existing systems.

Another important feature of Corda is its focus on privacy. Unlike other blockchain platforms, Corda is designed to only share data with parties that need to know about it. This means that businesses can transact securely and privately, without revealing sensitive information to unnecessary parties.
