Local governments are critical to accelerating climate action, but many struggle to implement their climate plans and are not on track to meet national and international climate goals.
So, what’s holding local governments back from delivering ambitious climate action? To dig into this question, we explored the challenges and opportunities facing local councils in Aotearoa New Zealand.
