LIFE BEYOND
The life beyond life is a concept that has been pondered upon by humans for centuries. It is a topic that evokes fear, confusion, and curiosity in almost everyone. While science and philosophy have tried to provide explanations for death, various spiritual masters have also shared their perspectives on this inevitable phenomenon.
One of the most renowned spiritual masters, J. Krishnamurti, approached death as a natural process and believed that it should not be feared or avoided. He stated, " e fact of death is very simple - we are born, we live, and we die." For him, death was a part of life, just like birth and living. He emphasized that the fear of death arises from our attachment to the things we hold dear in life. Our fear comes from the unknown, from not knowing what will happen after we die. But Krishnamurti believed that if we can let go of our attachments and live in the present moment with awareness, death would not be something to fear.
Similarly, Swami Vivekananda, a spiritual leader and disciple of Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa, viewed death as a transition to another state of existence. He said, "Death is not the end but the beginning of a new journey." Vivekananda believed in the concept of rebirth and saw death as an opportunity for the soul to evolve and progress towards enlightenment. He also emphasized the importance of living a purposeful life, as it would determine the quality of our next birth.
On the other hand, Raman Maharishi, an Indian sage who attained self-realization at a young age, had a different perspective on death. He believed that death was an illusion created by the mind. According to him, our true self or consciousness is immortal and unaffected by the death of the physical body. He stated, "Death is only a thought; it is not real." Maharishi taught that if we can connect with our true self and transcend the limitations of the mind, we can conquer the fear of death.
Ramakrishna Paramhans, a great saint who lived in the 19th century, had a unique way of explaining death. He compared death to a caterpillar's transformation into a butterfly. Just as the caterpillar dies to its old form and emerges as a beautiful butterfly, our physical body dies, and our soul continues its journey. Ramakrishna believed that death was a natural process and that the soul would eventually merge with the divine.
Dr. P.J.Saher, a spiritual teacher and philosopher, also had profound insights on death. He believed that human beings are afraid of death because we have not understood life fully. According to him, life and death are two sides of the same coin, and we cannot have one without the other. He stated, "Life is an opportunity for us to realize our true nature, and death is a reminder that this opportunity is limited." Dr. Saher emphasized that instead of fearing death, we should use it as a reminder to live a fulfilling life.
Despite their different perspectives, all these spiritual masters had one thing in common - they all believed that death should not be feared. They saw death as a natural process that is integral to life. They also emphasized the importance of living in the present moment and letting go of attachments to overcome the fear of death.

Moreover, all these spiritual masters believed in the concept of life after death in some form or another. Whether it is rebirth, merging with the divine, or transcending into a higher state of consciousness, they all conveyed the message that death is not the end.
In today's world, where death is often seen as something to be avoided at all costs, these teachings are more relevant than ever. The fear of death can lead us to live in constant anxiety and prevent us from truly living our lives. But if we can understand death as a natural process and live with awareness and purpose, we can overcome this fear and live a more fulfilling life.
Death is a topic that has been explored by various spiritual masters throughout history. They have shared profound insights on this inevitable phenomenon, each with their unique perspectives. From viewing death as a natural process to an illusion created by the mind, these spiritual masters have given us different ways to understand and overcome our fear of death. As human beings, we must strive to let go of our fear and embrace death as a part of life, for it is only then that we can truly live.
