LIFE INSURANCE: Friend or foe?
I am a firm believer that we must be laser focus in the present time, this is mostly the main source of personal balance, efficiency in any life endeavor, and the most efficient tool against the high levels of stress in our daily life.
It does not mean that we need to forget the experiences & learning from the past, neither not visualizing a promising future nor making plans accordingly.
According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary
planning /ˈplænɪŋ/ noun
Learner's definition of PLANNING
: the act or process of making a plan to achieve or do something financial/city/business planning
Careful planning made the party a success.
planning NOUN plan· ning | \ ˈpla-niŋ \
Definition of planning: the act or process of making or carrying out plans specifically: the establishment of goals, policies, and procedures for a social or economic unit.
Each one-off ourselves is an economic unit, a family is an economic unit, and we need to plan if we want to achieve our goals, a straight and clear vision of how and where we want to end up.
Not having a plan, is also a plan, not the best one, in fact, the worst of the plans, but unfortunately the most implemented plan of all, and yes, maybe you end up how and where you want, but you can end up anywhere also.
Any living being, any family, any business, any plan is subject to risks by the UNPREDICTABLE EFFECT, and while it is true that we cannot avoid unforeseen events, it is also true that we can MINIMIZE THE CONSEQUENCES.
I constantly repeat in any conversation, article, or presentation
“a gram of forecast saves a ton of what If I have had……?”
Benjamin Franklin said there were only two things certain in life: death and taxes.
But I would like to add a third certainty if you plan ahead with a clear vision of HOW and WHERE do you want to end up, you will have far more chances to get there the way you want to get there. I can’t promise you that, but the law of probabilities does.
Merriam-Webster Dictionary again
unpredictable adjective un· pre· dict· able | \ ˌən-pri-ˈdik-tə-bəl \
Definition of unpredictable: not predictable: such as
a: not able to be known or declared in advance unpredictable weather
b: tending to behave in ways that cannot be predicted an unpredictable boss
Life is unpredictable and full of surprises, good and no so good surprises, but we know something about our life, we know how and when it begins, and we know how it is going to end, SO..... with the end in mind, we can make a project in reverse, about what we want, when we want, how we want to live our life the years between today and that last day with a calm mind of having the necessary protections if this is the case of an unforeseen event on the long road of life, family, business or your personal dreams.
Life Insurance is just a tool in the planned portfolio, but such a magnificent tool that takes care of any other asset that you have, of your family, and also builds up your legacy.
