LinkedIn Adds New Features for Company Pages, Including Post Templates and Link Stickers

LinkedIn Pages enable companies to feature basic information like contact info, scope of provided services, rates, images of previous work, as well as provide more sophisticated tools that allow you to, for example, publish long-form articles.

However, these top-line features are just the beginning. Our products are constantly changing and evolving to enable platform users to expand their reach and engage even more users and potential customers via quality, targeted content.

There are a number of LinkedIn Pages features that have recently been unveiled or are currently rolling out that can help you take your business or organization to the next level. Read on to learn more about how you can leverage these tools the next time you’re updating your organization’s LinkedIn presence.

What’s New?

Post Templates and Clickable Links

Create engaging, actionable LinkedIn content easier than ever with clickable links and customizable templates, available directly in the LinkedIn app, with no third-party tools required.

When creating a post in the LinkedIn mobile app, just tap the “use template” option in the post menu. Templates allow you to select from pre-created, highly visual creative templates and then customize its colors, font, text, and more to create a post that stands out in the feed and focuses your audience’s attention on what matters most.

Clickable links allow you to turn ordinary copy links into a visual call-to-action button anywhere within the rich media portion of your post. When creating a post in the LinkedIn mobile app, select or upload a template, image or video. After, you’ll be able to select a link icon, from which you can input the link text and URL. You’ll be able to drag and drop the sticker to position it how you like within your creative.

Pinned Comments

With the help of pinned comments, you can guide the conversation you want to see on any of your brand’s posts. Pinning any comment on a post will permanently place that comment at the top of the thread, so everyone who sees the post will see that comment first.

Any responses to the pinned comment will also appear in the thread of replies directly beneath it. Pinning and responding to a comment is a great way to start and maintain ongoing conversations with your community. You can also change which post is pinned at any time, to change the direction of the conversation and keep engagement flowing.

Page Commitments

“Our featured commitments” is a new section of the LinkedIn Page that allows your organization to showcase your most important values for job seekers and potential partners. These commitments will be featured prominently on the About section of your Page.

You can include up to five commitments in your featured commitments section, such as:

  • Diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Career growth and learning,
  • Work-life balance
  • Social impact
  • Environmental sustainability

After selecting your values, the featured commitment section allows you to host content that demonstrates your commitment to these values, including videos, reports, certifications, and blogs beneath each one of these values.

Lead Gen Forms on Pages

Members who visit your LinkedIn Company Page are interested in learning more about your company and starting a conversation. With Lead Gen Forms on Pages, you can now add a form to your Page with a customized text and select from one of the available calls-to-action. Members visiting your Page will then be able to submit their contact information via an auto-filled form. You can simply download the submitted member information as a .csv file from the Lead Analytics section on the Page.

Respond As Your Page

When it comes to growing your Page’s reach, we know how important it is to start and join conversations that matter to your brand. That’s why we have introduced an easy way for Pages to respond to any post in the feed, whether your brand has been @mentioned or follows the #hashtag. To comment or react as your brand, simply click on your profile image in the bottom left corner of a post and select your Page before responding. By engaging in more conversations, your organization can get in front of new audiences and attract more Page followers. We’re excited to offer brands the ability to join more conversations on desktops and to bring this feature to mobile devices soon.

LinkedIn Articles & Newsletters

LinkedIn’s publishing tools allow you to dive deep into timely and recurring topics, helping you turn an audience into an engaged community. With LinkedIn Articles, you can easily publish long-form content pieces on a variety of topics that matter most to your audience. Using LinkedIn Newsletters, you can publish recurring Articles and instantly build a subscriber community via the one-time notification to your Page followers and the ongoing notifications to your Newsletter subscribers.

To help you further grow and engage your communities, we’ve introduced the ability to include @mentions and #hashtags in Articles and Newsletters. You can now @mention members and Pages within the copy of an Article to give authors and collaborators credit or to reference a LinkedIn member or organization in your content. Tagged members will be notified, increasing the content’s reach and engagement. You can also include a #hashtag to enrich your Article and help readers discover more content on LinkedIn.

Boosting for Events

Driving registrations for your LinkedIn Event just got easier. With Boosting for Events, you can now create an Ad campaign from within the LinkedIn Event page and reach more professionals with your content. Boosting allows the event organizer to create an ad in just a few clicks –just select the target audience, set a budget and enter credit card info to get started.

With LinkedIn Live, marketers can broadcast content to an audience in real time, creating the opportunity for live engagement with customers and other partners on a daily basis. We recently brought together the reach and engagement of LinkedIn Live with the planning and scheduling of LinkedIn Events, all in one simplified experience. Now you can sponsor your stream in advance to increase attendance, automatically notify event registrants and Page followers when you go live, and easily share the replay of your LinkedIn Live for maximum distribution.
