Here's how it works --
Step 1: Find and Join Relevant LinkedIn Groups
Follow these steps to find the right groups for you:
These groups are a goldmine of potential clients who, in theory, should be primed for / interested in the value and benefits you can provide people in their professional walk of life.
Step 2: Create a Compelling Piece of Free Content
Before you start engaging anyone, you need to develop a valuable piece of free content, such as an eBook, Webinar, Podcast episode, etc., that demonstrates your expertise and provides actionable insights / quick wins for your target audience.
That content should also be infused with your personality so that people can get to "know" you through the words your write (or speak) and the images you share.

Once you've joined the right LinkedIn Groups and have your free content ready, you'll want to message the members who fit your ideal prospect profile.
And here's the AMAZING thing about LinkedIn Groups - once you join and are accepted, you can message all of the other group members for FREE!
Even if you're not connected, you can still send anyone in the Group a 1-on-1 message at no cost. 🤯

Here's how to do it:
Just click on "Show All" once you're inside the Group:
That pulls up a page with EVERY single member, and you can instantly message ANY of them (even if you're not connected!) 1-on-1 for free:
Send each person who fits your ideal prospect profile a 1-on-1 message using this template:
"Hey (NAME) - can I send you a free digital copy of my eBook 📚 "[NAME OF EBOOK]?"
Or try this as a variation or split test:
"Hey (NAME) - can I send you my best free tips for how [Benefit Prospect Would Want]?"
Either way, you're literally writing 1 line or asking 1 question to gauge their interest in the topic / tips.
That's it!
You'll send this templated message to each member in the group who matches your ideal prospect profile.
Personalize Your Follow-Up
After sending your "free content" offer / message, get back to anyone who replies YES or 👍 with a personalized reply.
First, of course, you'll send them the promised piece of content (eBook, etc.)
Second, you'll use some personalization to build rapport and make yourself memorable.
It's super easy to do - just spend a few moments looking at the other person's LinkedIn profile page to see where they live, where they work, where they went to school, interests outside of work, volunteering, etc.
Now, in your follow up message, you can add in things like mentioning their location, education, work experience, or hobbies.
Or you can compliment them on their achievements or work history, or mention what you know about a place they've worked.
Or, best of all, share any common connections or experiences based on their profile page.
Utilize Multimedia for Enhanced Engagement
To further enhance your engagement with prospects, consider using multimedia in your follow-up messages, such as:
