Let's dive into the three tips for this week...
Best Practices for Salary Negotiations in Denmark
When negotiating your salary in Denmark (you can almost always negotiate in Denmark, even as a new graduate), preparation and transparency are key. Research typical salary ranges for your role to set realistic expectations, and be ready to articulate your value clearly. In Denmark, salary discussions are often straightforward, so feel confident in discussing your skills and how they align with the company’s needs. Remember, Danish employers value honesty, so approach the negotiation with openness.
Create a Vision Board for Your Career
A vision board can be a powerful tool for visualizing your career goals and staying motivated. Gather images, quotes, and words that represent what you want to achieve professionally—whether that’s leading a team, switching industries, or learning a new skill. Place your vision board somewhere you’ll see often to remind yourself of what you’re working toward and to keep your ambitions top of mind.
Schedule Regular Coffee Meetings with Key Contacts
Building a strong professional network takes consistency. Schedule regular coffee catch-ups—virtual or in-person—with key contacts in your industry. This not only keeps you top-of-mind but also opens up opportunities for knowledge sharing and potential collaboration. Aim for two to four of these casual meetups each month to nurture relationships over time.
Your life should be something you enjoy,
