The Sri Lankan Navy and the Port Authority sent rescue boats to the scene to extinguish the fire and basically brought it under control. But the fire has taken a devastating toll on the environment. Dozens of rare turtles have washed up on Sri Lanka's beaches, some with what appear to be scorch marks on their shells; Local fish, dolphins and even whales are beginning to die for unexplained reasons. Local residents have been out in force to pick up the sea's bounty, but for safety reasons, police have advised local residents to return the contents of their gullets. In addition to the loss of the vessel and cargo, the same incident also resulted in oil leaking from the vessel.

During the six days of the blockage, the Suez Canal authority lost an average of more than $15 million per day. Top 1 The Sewol ferry accident

On the night of April 15, 2014, the Sewol, a large passenger ferry carrying 476 people, was illegally released by the port of Incheon. Braving heavy fog late at night, he set sail for Jeju Island, a popular tourist island in the southern part of the peninsula. In order to accommodate more cargo, passenger ships have undergone irregular modifications, increasing the safety risks of the hull. In this trip, the weight of the cargo of the passenger ship is actually 3 times that of the normal situation, which is a serious overload. The most important thing is that these overloaded goods have not been fixed in violation of the law, further increasing the safety risk of passenger ships. Therefore, the passenger ship, which was scheduled to arrive at Jeju Island at 11 o 'clock on April 16, 2014, entered the water in the sea about 3 kilometers southwest of Gunguanbuk Island, South Korea, and eventually capsized. Only 172 people survived the crash, and more than 304 people were killed, most of them high school students.

This was originally a happy holiday trip, but did not expect to become a living hell, and the most incredible is only a few hundred meters from the shore of the accident, within a few hours, hundreds of students did not get rescue, but is directly related to the accident captain and part of the crew, in the first time to get rescue.

The entire accident ultimately resulted in the loss of $180 million worth of cargo, and the state and shipping company will also pay 80 million won in compensation to each survivor. But no matter how high the compensation, those 304 lives can never be brought back
