LISW25 attracts world-renowned shipbroker expertise

London International Shipping Week 2025 (LISW25) continues to generate new sponsors in the lead up to the event next September, with leading shipbroker, Optima Shipping Services, joining as the official Shipbroker: Practical Sustainability Solutions Partner.

Optima Shipping Services is one of the top 10 leading global shipbrokers according to Lloyd's List, and the largest in the Greek market.

During LISW25 Optima Shipping Services experts will take part in events, panel discussions, and industry-shaping conversations.

"We are honoured to partner with LISW25 as the Shipbroker: Practical Sustainability Solutions Partner”, said Dimitrios Koukas, Group CEO, Optima Shipping Services Group.

“At Optima, we recognise that the vessel is the cornerstone asset of the maritime industry, and its efficient, sustainable operation is critical to the future of global trade. By blending our deep-rooted expertise in traditional shipbroking with forward-thinking consultancy on decarbonisation and sustainability, we are committed to empowering our clients to maximise the potential of their fleets with a realistic approach while addressing the industry’s evolving challenges. This partnership reflects our unwavering dedication to fostering innovation and driving meaningful change for a more resilient and sustainable shipping sector."

Llewellyn Bankes-Hughes, co-Founder and joint-CEO of LISW, commented: “I’m so pleased to welcome Optima Shipping Services to London International Shipping Week. It really is testament to the commitment of our industry partners, including some of the world’s leading players, to support this important event. We welcome them for what I’m sure will be a fascinating insight into their business as part of our industry-leading discussions.”

Admiralty Support

LISW25 welcomes the Admiralty Solicitors Group (ASG) on board as a Supporting Organisation. ASG was formed to promote and preserve standards in the practice of maritime law in England. ASG member firms all have established reputations in maritime law and are committed to the continued development of England, and particularly London, as a maritime legal centre. Although the group was established principally with Admiralty Law matters in mind (‘wet’ cases: collisions and salvage, etc.) its interests now embrace ‘dry’ matters: carriage of goods, sale and purchase, insurance and all other aspects of shipping law in which member firms play a prominent part.

The ASG also offers a panel of experienced practitioners to act as arbitrators in small collision and salvage cases and a panel of solicitor mediators, through the closely related Maritime Solicitors Mediation Services.

LISW25 Sector Sponsors

London International Shipping Week is on the lookout for innovators, trailblazers, and thought leaders in the industry to be LISW25 Sector Partners.

We are particularly looking for sector partners who have an approach and message that aligns to the overarching LISW25 theme of London: Managing the winds of change in global shipping’, as well as key issues identified by the Board of Advisors.

These include geopolitical threats; technology and innovation to alleviate environmental issues; managing the human element of change; financial markets expectations in a time of rapid futurisation; and London and the UK’s role in managing change, are all of particular interest.

There are a number of unique sector sponsorships on offer and each sponsor will be promoted and marketed separately as thought leaders representing each sector.

Sector Sponsors will enjoy the benefits of exclusive VIP invitations and VIP tables at the LISW25 Gala Dinner, along with media and press opportunities, providing maximum exposure in the run-up to and during the event.
