London Gielgud Theatre - The Ferryman

I saw the Ferryman play at the Gielgud on Saturday and it is possibly the best theatre production I have seen in 20 years. A riveting story directed by Sam Mendez and Jez Butterworth captures those troubled times in 1970s Northern Ireland in a way that elicits great comedy and great tragedy at the same time. The audience gave three standing ovations and they were well deserved. Treat yourself to a classic and take Boris with you to show him that the congestion charge will not do justice to sorting out Ulster.
