Long Lasting Customer Relationship Development steps?

Long Lasting Customer Relationship Development steps?

More than half of people who leave their jobs do so because of their relationship with their boss. Smart companies make certain their managers know how to balance being professional with being human. These are the bosses who celebrate an employee’s success, empathize with those going through hard times, and challenge people, even when it hurts.–Travis Bradberry

One of the essential aspects in any outstanding product development/Service Development is to develop a stronger relationship with the end users, with the team members who are committed in product development.

It is the same team members who are working with the end users to discover their needs! When I have worked with many outstanding product teams, I have examined they are extremely good at people’s relationship skills.

Either you build products, discover customers, or sell world-class solutions to customers; you require the skill of humans connection like Hook!

All these cooperations demand understanding about individuals and we design products by recognizing their needs.

Sometime customers will criticize you, some time they will be annoyed; sometime they will appreciate you. In all the situations, how can you develop into a better team member and get along with your customer? That we have to discover and build mastery around this.

How can we establish Awesome products by Awesome teams without knowing the consumer and people?

It is simpler to work with people if they feel you are comfortable with them. If you create an initial impression of extreme seriousness or intensity, people may be hesitant to reveal and establish in-depth communication with you.

Humor can be a lifesaver, specifically in stressful situations. Let us meet new individuals and get passionately involved in the conversation.

Listen to individuals talk and notice the hints they give about their interests, likes and dislikes. Ask individuals about their personal interests–family, hobbies, and goals. Share some of your personal interests. Once you open up, they will also be interested in telling you frequently about themselves.

  • A good way to foster peer relationships is to be attentive to and interested in others. Your interest in them will encourage them to open up to you, volunteer information and discuss issues.
  • Accept individuals as they are, not as you would like them to be
  • Always confront the issue, not the people.
  • Foster an environment of openness and trust.
  • Allow people to save face.
  • Have more and frequently informal discussions with the team members to know them better. Sincere interest in them will help significantly.
  • Respect all members, even if you disagree or do not understand.

It can be difficult to work effectively with people you do not know well.

Whenever you work with others, concentrate on the strengths you have identified. Compliment them on the strong points when appropriate.

Establish a relationship with people who are different from you. Although it is a natural tendency for people to surround themselves with others like them, connecting with people of different backgrounds will help you learn about the unique contributions others have to offer.

Will you disagree with the above steps?

  • Explain what motivates you at your work, highlight the positive aspects of the work, it inspires others also to become motivated at work.
  • Walk the talk in the change initiative

  • The blame game does not work, it creates more side effects, try to figure out the big picture
  • Strengthen your likability factors and better at above steps!

Let us look in the mirror, if we are persistently following most of the above steps?

What outcomes are we getting?

Sincerely, practice these for some time. I do recognize these behaviors when I contact a few great product teams.
