Is Kim Kardashian longevity’s GPT moment? Not quite.
Season finale to The Kardashians sees the family get their biological age test results from TruDiagnostic. Guess what? They’re younger.
The Season 5 finale of Hulu series The Kardashians saw several members of the family discover their biological age. Having taken the TruAge test, which measures over 75 biomarkers related to aging and health, including telomere length, immune system age and impacts of lifestyle factors, the family found out their results and their paces of aging on a video call with Matt Dawson, MD, the CEO of TruDiagnostic.
My take on this: I know that biological age tests are still in their infancy, and that the gold standard hasn’t been created yet. However, I am a firm believer that we all need something to ‘push against’ to aid our decision making. Biologically younger than your chronological years? Great hang on to it as long as you can. Older? then change your regimen and try to wind the clock back – aging is plastic right? But is the clock telling the right time?
At a recent business dinner with two grandees, one from the finance industry and the other from the life sciences industry, I noted that Bryan Johnson had hosted a dinner with guests that included Kim Kardashian and Dr Andrew Huberman, and that this was big news; the finance guy agreed.
Why big? Well, to state the obvious, that Kim Kardashian’s global following of 362 million around the world are now aware of the difference between biological age and chronological age is exposure that any emerging industry would want.

Having something to push against to change your behaviour is one thing, having a biological test that’s recognised by all major health systems around the world as a valid biomarker for age and aging diseases is quite something else. So, should we be worried?
