Look Feel Act Confident

Look Feel Act Confident

Appearance

Plaid is a fall classic, but wearing it well is all about balance.

When you’ve got a bold plaid piece, like a vibrant skirt or a large coat,

pairing it with solid-coloured clothes keeps your outfit stylish without being overwhelming.

For example:

If you're wearing a large plaid coat, tone it down with neutral trousers in black, beige, or grey. This lets the coat shine while keeping your look sleek.

Don't forget the rule of proportions:

Large plaid suits bigger frames, so matching it with simpler pieces creates a nice balance.

Petite frames look best with smaller plaid patterns, and keeping the rest of the outfit plain helps the pattern stand out without being too much.

Remember to keep It simple; let the plaid take the spotlight.

Keeping everything else understated and solid-coloured ensures your outfit stays stylish and balanced.

Let the plaid stand out by pairing it with a solid colour.
Too many patterns can overwhelm the eyes, making it hard to know where to focus.

Communication

How would it feel if someone from your past let you know how positively you impacted their life?

One of my favourite moments is when a former student reaches out to share how I impacted their life. It serves as a powerful reminder of how much our words and actions can resonate, even years later. I will always treasure that moment and the connection we shared!

We often assume people know how much they mean to us, but that’s not always true.

Those messages highlight the importance of expressing gratitude.

Have you ever thanked someone who made a difference in YOUR life?

Taking a moment to thank someone from your past might seem small, but it can make a big difference.

So, this Thanksgiving, as you think about what you’re grateful for, remember those who helped you become who you are.

It’s never too late to communicate your thanks, and you might just brighten someone’s day or even their year and remain forever etched in their memory.

I really appreciate you, dear subscriber, and I hope you found this newsletter helpful. 😊

Mindset

Do you know why practising gratitude is so important?

When we take a moment to appreciate what we have, we shift our focus from what’s lacking to what’s abundant.

This simple change can really transform our outlook.

Instead of getting caught up in worries, we start to notice the small joys around us:

a beautiful sunset or a warm cup of coffee.

These little moments can truly lift our spirits.

Practicing gratitude also trains our brains to focus on the good, which makes it easier to tackle challenges.

Research by Robert Emmons shows that keeping a gratitude journal can lead to greater optimism and improved mental health. His studies reveal that people who regularly practice gratitude feel more satisfied with life and enjoy stronger emotional well-being.

Adding gratitude to your day is easy!

Just write down what you’re thankful for or thank someone you appreciate each week.

Very helpful tips Natalie. Plaid can be a bit tricky to pull off with style and proper proportions.
