As 2024 wraps up, the Center for Artificial Intelligence & the Future of Work is reflecting on the developments in artificial intelligence (AI) this past year and their implications for workers’ and learners’ economic advancement. In the video below, the center’s Alex Swartsel and Tiffany Hsieh sit down with Kristina Francis, executive director of  JFFLabs, the innovation lab of Jobs for the Future (JFF), to discuss highlights and insights from the past year around the changes in AI technology, its impact on the learn-and-work ecosystem, and use cases from stakeholders.

  • On Tuesday, the bipartisan House Task Force on Artificial Intelligence released their final report detailing principles, recommendations, and policy proposals across several areas for the U.S. to continue leading in responsible AI innovation. Among the many studies cited to inform the report was JFF’s AI-Ready Workforce report. Read our key takeaways from the House report’s implications for education and workforce development.
