Take Your Security Posture to the Next Level with Cyber+Alt

The CYBER+ALT Grant Scheme, created by the National Coordination Centre and the Malta Information Technology Agency, aims to help small and medium-sized businesses improve their #cybersecurity by providing financial support for adopting advanced solutions. The grant scheme can finance up to 80% of initial investments, with a maximum grant of €60,000 per project. Up to €2,000,000 will be given to companies to support them in becoming more resilient against cyberattacks.

Grants are awarded based on selection criteria and given on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to budget availability. To be considered eligible for evaluation, applications must meet gateway criteria and focus on at least one of the following five areas:

(1) Threat detection and response,

(2) Vulnerability management solutions,

(3) Identity and access management,

(4) End-to-end data protection, and

(5) Enhanced cloud-based platform security.

Gateway criteria are based on excellence, quality, and coherence. The Project Selection Committee will consider the relevance, objectives, and alignment with national strategies of the applications when evaluating them. Additionally, they also examine its potential for future growth and economic viability. So to ensure success, we also conduct a thorough risk assessment, which includes factors like evaluating the proposed duration, implementation plan, and mitigation strategies.

Applications will be evaluated based on project excellence, impact and sustainability, and project risk assessment, with a minimum overall score of 50% required to receive the grant. All undertakings must comply with State Aid rules. ICT Solutions offers managed security, managed cloud, and managed secure network services. The company is offering a free consultation meeting to get you started.

Some prerequisites to apply include investment details, start and end dates, location, and public funding needs. Applicants must also submit a budget breakdown between €20,000 and €60,000. Beneficiaries must obtain licenses, submit reimbursement requests, and provide necessary documentation. Companies with outstanding obligations from European-funded aid schemes may still apply. However, all debts must be fulfilled within six months of selection.
