'Looting and Destruction of Public and Private Infrastructure' Demonstrate Apathetic Ideology

There is no doubt that the conditions endured by South Africans and Africans in general deserve much better than the ongoing horror experienced in the magnificent nation of Mzansi in the recent weeks. It was only within the last decade or so that many South Africans raised a major issue by calling attention to rampant corruption and “tender-entrepreneurship that causes poverty, inequality and unemployment in the country. For a long time, the government was unwilling and unable to address such issues, but recently began courageously with a symbolic gesture from top X officials. Such a move should be viewed positively and encouraged by the general public; instead, the results become a destabilising effect in favour of potential suspects. The paradox is that those who have been pleading with the government for years to act against public fund looting, what could be the explanation? All of us believe that all citizens should have equal opportunities, well-paying jobs, and an effort to combat unemployment in a holistic manner. The solution is in the hands of South Africans, who can only enact it through private and public participation. On the other hand, such annihilation of the nation's wealth is unacceptably destructive. Stealing stores and torching shopping malls is the same as stealing from one's own wallet. South Africa is unique among many other countries in that it has a supreme rule of law that is completely devoid of government intervention. Despite all odds, it is the country's strong and efficient institutions that have made us proud and confident in South Africa. Having such a well-established institution assures citizens that they will never witness a politician falsely implicate a political adversary. As Africa Speaks, we therefore implore the people of South Africa to maintain their composure and allow the law to take its natural course.

The solution is equal opportunity for all, as well as diligence and an ability to innovate, not entitlement!
